Paul Dini’s Zatanna series has been pushed back a month, so the series will premiere in May 2010. Dini has revealed that she will still be a JLA member, but we will see all new villains, friends, and allies. There will even be appearances by her younger cousin Zachary, who appeared in Teen Titans. With Paul Dini taking the helm the series should be magical.

However Mr. Shanks has one thing I want [in bed] and that’s a mace! Spikes and all, Shanks plays Hawk Man [Carter Hall] on the CW’s Smallville. I thought Mutant a Day was over due for some gratuitous rugged Hawk Man photos! Enjoy!
Just for Fun!

Ok gang, there is some good news and bad news!
The good news; we had a wonderful time at this years Comicon hanging out with the cast of The Variants and meeting artists Jaime Mendoza and of course our favorite artist Cat Staggs!
Aaron M picked up a massively awesome signed print of Zatanna by Cat Staggs as well as a series of 8 X Men prints!
I was fortunate enough to get an 11×14 original inking of the X Men vs. Dr. Doom from Jaime Mendoza!
I also got some great original art from Joe and Ken from The Variants of Storm and Zatanna! Such a deal at a dollar a piece! [to be shown later!]
Ok the bad news; [insert frown face]. MaD did lovely interviews with both The Variants and Cat Staggs…however the sound was not so spectacular amongst the heavy crowd. However we will indeed post the HELL out of them cause we love ‘em both! [Just waiting for the edit] We hope everyone had a blast at this years Comicon in Richardson, Texas. We know we did, and can’t wait for the next convention!
X-Men Volume 5!

•January 30, 2010 • Leave a CommentOk guys, it’s that time of year again! Comicon @ the Richardson Civic Center, which so happens to be our favorite event in the Dallas- Fort Worth area, has returned! It is sure to be the best one yet!
As per usual we have our favorites we are excited to see again!
Last year we had the pleasure of meeting artist Cat Staggs, and this year we will have the opportunity as well to meet, talk, and buy a print or two! You should definitely do the same!
We are also excited to see Adam Hughes who will be joining a a great line up of artists as well as a cast of celebs including Charisma Carpenter, Adam West, Daniel Cudmore, and Sean Patrick Flanery! Fun stuff for sure!
And of course the cast of The Variants will be there promoting their web series & hopefully be free to give us a short but always fun interview! Bring a dollar as Ken and Joe will be doing commissions!
WOOT!
Green It, Mean Tits
•January 19, 2010 • Leave a CommentFin Fang Foom is our Mutant of the Week and by mutant, I do mean monstrous helldragon from space! Popping up in the strangest places, it’s appropriate that he(she/it/sheit?) first came on the scene in Strange Tales #81. Originally hailing from the planet Maklu IV, Fin Fang Foom has caused destruction and mayhem whenever he manages to wake up from his drug-induced periods (heyoooo) of hibernation. He can fly at supersonic speeds, spew acid-mist-breath, communicate telepathically and take a beating like a super-durable 32′ dragon-monster.
You’ll find Foom these days a reformed Buddhist, attempting to live a regular, human life. For the craziness and for the acid-breath, Fin Fang Foom is our villainous Mutant of the Week.
