Artist Watch: Greg Land

x-men-by-greg-land-posterOk, let me preface this by saying that I’m usually not one to ride the fence when it comes to hot button issues.

Tonight on the MaD-Cast we will be discussing the art of Greg Land and I’ll be citing what others think of it and what I think about what could be a great debachle OR what is really no big deal.

Well it’s certainly at least a big of deal as the size of Frost’s breasts to the right there.

Seriously, they are as big as her head.

Or is her head as big as her breasts? Quite the conundrum.

There will be cursing im sure of it.

The Not So Fantastic 4

Recently I purchased some Fantastic Four Archives cards, which were on clearance for .99 cents.  I thought they would be OK because I enjoyed both Batman Archives and X-men Archives. Fantastic Four Archive

I would have to say this is one of the worst card series I have ever purchased.  The artwork for these cards was pretty craptastic and the special cards were not memorable at all.  These cards look like cards you get from a machine at the supermarket but glossy.  The most enjoyable part is the back of the card , which contains a cover from an issue of The Fantastic Four.  That is why I enjoyed the Batman Archives was because the front had old covers from past to present Batman.  So my advice, leave The Fantastic Four Archives in the clearance bin but do pick up Batman Archives for the awesome cover art.

In Movies: X-Men First Class

As many of you x-fans know after the success of Wolverine Origins the plans to continue to make X-Men focused productions are in full force.  The next X film is said to be X-Men First Class , a movie that will follow the comic that came out in September of 2006.leftheadshottab

Thanks to Twitter and other questionably un-reliable sources, the movie is set to come out in 2010 with the role of young Cyclops [Scott Summers] cast to be played by Tim Pocock who played Cyclops in the Wolverine movie. Let’s take a poll shall we?
