Ok people, we talk about Robert all the time! And with good reason! He was one of the artists that was at the Live Art Auction put on by Zeus Comics at the Billard Bar. Post Live Art Auction, Zeus also had Robert along with a few other artists doing commisions as well as signing work this past Saturday in conjunction with the toy drive they had! Check out his drawing of Wiccan, one of the Young Avengers. It is certainly as magical as it is amazing, (as is Robert!) You can check out more of his work HERE!

Artist We Love; Brandon Peterson
This variant cover image of Cyclops for the Young X Men makes us feel all nostalgic. Brandon Peterson is one of Mutant A Day’s favorite artists and we actually got the chance to meet him a year ago at comicon dallas! You can see more of his work HERE !
Artist Watch Update; Jason Adams
Independant artists like Jason Adams make us say things like “that’s what’s up right there!” You may have heard me use terms like “Low Brow Art” which describes an underground visual art movement that arose in the Los Angeles, California, area in the late 1970s. Lowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures.
So basically to describe Jason’s comic and Star Wars art as low brow is to say it’s badass! You can go to ORANGETHIRTEEN to check Jason’s blog which feature his work and how you can contact him. He also has original art you can purchase through paypal and like all awesome artists who love art lovers…who love art, he does commissions!

Artist Watch; Robert Wilson IV
Today Mutant A Day got to meet artist Robert Wilson IV of Dallas, Texas. I must say he is probably the nicest artist I’ve ever met EVER and such a great penciler and inker! He is the co creator of Knuckleheads, a comedy comic about somewhat of a gamer slob who receives super powers controlled by none other than his trust Wii-mote. Huzzah! Knuckleheads is a fresh, quick read definitely worth getting! Plus the main character is kind-of-a-bear.
Check out this original Batwoman [below] we got from Wilson as well! It makes us feel all warm and kick assey inside! Also check out his site HERE to learn more about him!

Artist Watch: Chad Hardin
There are few things we love more than sketch cards! Where the hell did this love of tiny pieces of art come from anyway? With Mutant a Day actually owning 3 or 4 sketch cards from the Marvel Masterpieces card series, we are always looking up artists that have contributed to said great series of cards!
Check out artist Chad Hardin’s beauteous cards! and check out his blog HERE for more insight into his world and art!
