MaD’s Triple H: Emma Stone

Finally we got what this decade needed. Funny, smart and a bit of a tart, Emma Stone makes us want to switch teams just so we can buy her stuff and junk.  Starring in comedy hits such as Zombieland, Superbad, Housebunny and most recently, Easy A, Ms. Stone is refreshing and nostalgic all at the same time. We can’t wait to see her as Gwen Stacy in the new Spidey flick set to come out sometime in 2012!

Web Slinging With Andrew Garfield!

Andrew Garfield has been cast as Peter Parker in the Spider-Man reboot.

Image from IFC Film Red Riding Trilogy

Garfield is best known for his role in the movie ”The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”.  Although Andrew Garfield is 26 he will be playing Peter Parker in High School.  At least he has a young look to him so he should be able to pull it off.   Lets just hope there isn’t another Kirsten Dunst cast in this movie.

Logan in a Spider’s Web

We aren’t exactly too thrilled with the remakes or premakes for that matter, of the Spider Man flicks. They truly rival the Japanese Spiderman show. [soooo goood]

However if you saw the Percy Jackson movie, you know that Logan Lerman is a very able actor [18 year of age and legal] as well as a less-pretty, more like-able guys guy-ish version of Zach Efron. [still pretty though].

So the rumor mill says that he will play Peter Parker in the next Spidey flick which will set him in college. Wait isn’t that how Spiderman 1 started? Im confuzzled. From the looks of the photo he seems to have his Spidey Jump down. He just needs to make sure he’s always locked and loaded to ‘shoot’ at a moments notice! I wonder if the first villain will be “THE FLUFFER”!

Kirsten Does it Again!

No, I’m not blaming Dunst for ruining the Spiderman franchise…that took the majority of the cast.  Read what Aaron M. has to say about the recent Spidey 4 film developments.

Spider-Man 4 is most likely going to be pushed back due to script problems.  It has been reported that they were having trouble deciding on the villains for the film.

I don’t think this is a bad thing. They should really take their time making this film.  The first two movies were OK and the third was just awful, so they need to make a much needed recovery with the fourth film.  The next movie needs to be on par with movies like Iron Man and The Dark Knight, otherwise they don’t need to make another Spider-Man Movie at all.

Coming Soon! Spider-Man Archives!

spidab-773601Spider-Man Archives was recently released at the end of October by Rittenhouse.  I was curious to see the artwork on these cards since the Fantastic Four Archives were pretty shitty crappy.  I just picked up a pack today and surprisingly the art is good and they resemble the X-Men Archives and Women of Marvel cards which both were great.  Although I am not a huge Spider-Man fan I would definitely recommend picking up this set of cards. And as an added bonus, one of Mutant a Day’s favorite artist, Cat Staggs has done some excellent sketch cards for the series as well! She is indeed an art goddess!
