Marvel Puts Runaways in the Corner Again!

According to Deadline.com Marvel is putting the Runaways movie on hold, so they can focus on their current and upcoming films.  This would include films such as the Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor, and Captain America.  Deadline says that director Peter Sollett has been invited to direct another film first before he takes on Runaways. 

I understand that those are big movies and it’s a lot to take on, but this news worries me.  Many times when movies are put on hold they end up never being made.  Hopefully Marvel will deliver Runaways to us in some form whether it be comic, movie, or animated movie.

Shoulder Nipples for Asgard!

Look at Chris Hemsworth in that get-up! It’s exciting times for merry Marvelites as Iron Man 2 gets closer to release date. With the first photo from the Thor production released it feels more and more like the humongous task of a full panoply of Avengers major motion pictures will be a reality. We know they’re all “in the works” but that can mean anything in Hollywood. So with Marvel truly backing the idea (the Disney money can’t be hurting) I’m getting full-on (friendship) excited for what we’ll be seeing.

Free Comic Book Day tomorrow as well! We will be covering and enjoying the festivities from one of our local shops and hope you’ll be doing the same!

Asgards before Arachnids!

In a great turn of events, Marvel’s THOR movie might actually be coming out before the Spidey 4 movie  on May 6th 2011 according to Variety Magazine! We say woot to that as Mutant A Day is currently on Asgard in the first installment of  Ultimate Alliance and loving the Storm/Thor team ups with Aaron M. 

This really calls for a throwback to Adventures in Babysitting! Enjoy!

With movies like Star Wars, and V for Vendetta under her belt, we are more than excited that socially aware do-gooder Natalie Portman is jumping on the Marvel team to play Thor’s interest as nurse Jane Foster in 2010′s Thor movie!  This is why she is MaD’s hottie of the week!
